Three friends
with similar musical outlooks coming together as seasoned
singers, songwriters, and musicians, blending their
talents to create the unique, organic sound that is
BlackHawk.
Lead vocalist, mandolinist, and rhythm acoustic guitar
player Henry Paul has had success as a founding member
of the southern rock band The Outlaws, as a solo artist
on Atlantic Records, and now with BlackHawk.

ln the early ’90s, Paul moved
to Nashville to pursue a career in country music. Paul
has been a primary writer in all three of these great
bands, writing hallmark songs for each including several
BlackHawk hits.
Brett Cartwright, bassist and high
harmony vocalist, has had a career as a singer-songwriter-performer
spanning 3 decades. He has written for a major publisher
in
Nashville, garnering #1 records including "ln the
Heart of a Woman," recorded by Billy Ray Cyrus.
Additionally, he has worked with many notable performers
such as
the great Dan Seals. Lead g·uitarist/ low harmony
vocalist Chris Anderson brings his unique energy and
talent as a singer and soloist to BlackHawk. Anderson’s
soulful intensity underscores every BlackHawk performance.

While
playing with Anderson in The Outlaws, Paul met Cartwright
in 1987. Their mutual love of country music, folk rock,
and three-part harmony was the catalyst for
a dream of forming a group together. Some 20 years later,
this dream has become reality.
To date, BlackHawk has sold over 5
million CDs and charted 13 Top 40 records, including
the #1's "Every Once In A While" and "I'm
Not Strong Enough to Say No."
Expect a new studio CD as well as a new live CD from
BlackHawk in 2008.
