Wild Country 96.5 presents The Karaoke Classic! Calling out all men and women 21 and over to come sing your heart out in Cascades Lounge at the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino Resort every Thursday night in August. Music provided by our good friends at M&M Entertainment. It’s all about singing solo – no duets or groups and the top 3 performers each week will move on to the finale August 31st. The winner of it all wins ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS CASH.
Plus Akwesasne TV will be onsite for pre-performance interviews and filming the entire event!
- Participants will register starting at 6:30 pm and M-N-M Entertainment will determine the order based on registration times. There will be a line of participants at 6:30. Arrive before 6:30 for a spot in line at the Cascades Bar & Game Lounge in the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino Resort. Only the first 20 people to register will be allowed to participate due to time constraints.
- Event is 7pm to 10pm. Participants are expected to remain in Cascades Lounge for the duration of the contest.
- Participants must perform as a solo only. Duets and group performances will not be judged.
- Top three (3) weekly performers will move onto finale on Thursday, August 31, 2017. Participants may only qualify once for the finale.
- Participants must select songs directly from M-N-M Entertainment and may not use personal CD or tracks. Full list of available tracks is at mnmdj.com/karaoke
- Limit of 20 singers per night. Each performer sings twice. Judges will average the two songs totals.
- Must be 21 years of age to participate
- The top 3 performers from each week will perform in the finale on Thursday, August 31 in the Winter Ballroom (18 and over to enter the Ballroom)
- There will be a poster hung in Cascades letting contestants know they are being filmed.
- No swearing or obscenities during performance
